Each September, the United Nations General Assembly Annual Meetings bring heads of state, multilateral institutions, foundations, and global organizations to New York City for a concentrated period of diplomacy, policy dialogue, and international convenings. The meetings take place over the course of several days and include official sessions at the United Nations Headquarters, alongside related discussions, receptions, and events held throughout the city.

During the 2024 United Nations General Assembly period, the Kia Yusuf Foundation was present in New York and attended a series of engagements connected to the annual meetings. This included time spent at the United Nations Headquarters, where representatives participated in scheduled sessions and informal discussions taking place during the General Assembly convenings.
