In September 2024, the Kia Yusuf Foundation distributed its children’s book, Les Aventures de Kia Yusuf (The Adventures of Kia Yusuf), through a series of education-related activities conducted during the start of the academic year in Côte d’Ivoire.

The book was written and published by the Foundation and formed part of several school-based engagements carried out during this period. Distribution took place during back-to-school activities, classroom visits, and school-organized education programs, alongside other educational support initiatives implemented by the Foundation.

Copies of the book were provided directly to students through participating schools. In some settings, books were distributed together with school supplies as part of the Foundation’s back-to-school support. In other cases, the book was shared during education-focused activities conducted within schools, including reading sessions and classroom-based engagement led by teachers and school staff.

Les Aventures de Kia Yusuf is designed for early readers and follows a young character navigating familiar environments. The book was developed to be accessible to primary school–aged children and features illustrations reflecting everyday life and settings commonly encountered by students in Côte d’Ivoire.

Teachers incorporated the book into classroom activities, including reading and discussion sessions. Students received copies to keep for use at school and at home, allowing the material to be used beyond the initial distribution activities.

This distribution reflects the Kia Yusuf Foundation’s education-related work during the 2024 academic period, combining the provision of learning materials with school-based engagement across multiple initiatives.
